Before one of our qualified professionals visits your home to measure up - it is important to be aware of the below
- Maximum length of bench without a join is 3000 mm( Subject to availability )
- Joins in stone benchtops are at stonemason's discretion.
- Any change of direction ( L Shape ) would need a join.
- Maximum overhang without additional support is 300 mm.
- Support Rail on Sink cabinet must be installed Vertically.
- Any unsupported void over 600mm ( example Dishwasher opening ) needs supporting rails.

Any unsupported span over 600mm without any cabinet ( example dishwasher space ) would need support rails to be installed at the front & back.
Front Bar – 16-18 mm timber rail Flush with the carcass screwed in from sides or underneath using an L bracket.
Back Rail – 16-18 mm timber rail Flush with the carcass & attached to the wall. If the Dishwasher is on an island then a rail same as front rail.

Vertical support rails are needed for sink cabinets to ensure structural integrity and prevent damage to the benchtop and cabinet. These supports bear the weight of the countertop and any loads placed upon it, preventing stress on the weakest parts of the worktop and the cabinet itself.
Vertical rails help distribute the weight of the sink and benchtop more evenly, reducing strain on the cabinet frame
important notes FOR A SUCESSFUL MEASURE
- All Cabinetry must be installed including end panels. Secured & level.
- Cabinetry must be assembled & installed as per supplier requirements. Level tolerance is maximum 3mm over 3 meters continuous run.
- Walls must be plastered and prepared.
- Any item to be fitted into the benchtop must on site and be in position, however not connected. Example if replacing your cooktop & Sink , the new cooktop and sink must be onsite.
- When replacing an existing bench top, the old benchtop must be removed before measure.
- The customer or an adult decision maker needs to be onsite to confirm all details of the intended benchtops.
- If the dishwasher is designed to be installed at the end of the cabinetry run , supporting bars / beams must be installed before the check measure.
- Stone Mason would not be able to assist you with any adjustments to cabinets , plumbing or electrical related tasks.
- If purchasing a 40mm benchtop, a full substrate needs to be installed. See below
- If any or multiple of the above conditions are not met , another site assessment might be required at a cost to the customer.

important notes for INSTALLATION
- All works / requirements discussed at the time of check measure must be completed.
- The site must be clean & tidy on the day of installation.
- A safe access must be provided to our installers , this includes keeping pets & kids away from the work area while our installers are onsite.
- There might be some situations where we may require to do minor adjustments to your custom made product which include minor cutting & polishing onsite which will be carried out in accordance with WorkSafe requirements. Be assured - the site will be left in clean & tidy manner. If the works are deemed not minor - the stone would need to be taken back to the factory & another day of installation will be confirmed.
- We strongly recommend DO NOT BOOK your post installation trades ( Tilers , Electricians & Plumbers etc ) until the stone is successfully installed. Any additional costs to rebook / reschedule trades in case of delays in completion of benchtop installation would not be responsibility of Petra Global or any of its subcontractors.
